I loved horses and writing in my diary, oh, and having bangs, I loved that, too
Posted by Cara under generalWe took a road trip this weekend to visit my grandmother and, as we always do when we’re at her house, we ended up breaking out the old pictures. Luckily J’s a big fan of taking pictures of semi-ridiculous things, like other pictures, and he captured this gem. It’s me in sixth grade, I believe. Nice glasses, right? Sarah Palin’s got nothing on me.

Annalaan had funny line when she saw that photo..after about three seconds…”So, she dyed her hair, right? She did a good job.”
Cracked me up.
She may not be smooth when it comes to compliments, but the sentiment from her is genuine for an eight year old girl….good luck.

remember the sketchy photographer we had? the guy that would wiggle his eyebrows to make you smile? i dreaded him every year– and blame him for my glaring and bad hair.

i had those glasses. but in second grade, with a short, feathered hair cut (think mary lou retton). combined with gigantic teeth and chubby cheeks, i was a real looker. i love this picture of you.
