Some information about findingDulcinea from people who are much better at explaining it than me
Posted by Cara under generalSince I started my new job at findingDulcinea a few months ago, many people have asked me about what I do and about the site. And I try to explain it to them by saying things like, “Well, it’s a web site, and I write for the news team and it’s really great!!” Which, you know, isn’t very helpful.
Luckily two of my coworkers have put together a video that explains why our site is the best to use when you want to find relevant information on the web, using the example of researching a trip to Central America.
You can watch the video on the findingDulcinea blog.
Go ahead, watch it (yes, that’s a demand disguised in friendly overtones).

Just being honest…it’s all still too feminine for an under 40 male like me. I look at the front page, and there is nothing, with the pasty colors and lack of sports that cries out to grab me. Not one sports related thing on the entire front page AGAIN!
Harsh sounding? Maybe. But I like the site.
I am also not sure about talking to people like your third grade teacher is describing it. But that’s just a side opinion.
I am definitely on board with the architecture and structure and focus on editorial content…just not my demographic at all, which I doubt it’s meant to be.
