I don’t mean to make fun of a bunch of people who committed suicide, people who believed they would shed their “earthly bodies” and be transported in a spacecraft traveling behind the Hale-Bopp coment, but if you have time today, please, for the love of God, read the story I wrote about the Heaven’s Gate cult mass suicide that occurred on this day in 1997.
