Posted by Cara under general , healthMy great friend Karla, who is currently an exercise physiology grad student at UNC, has started a blog called Stay Moving, and it really inspires you to do just that. Move. Get some fresh air. Lay off the macaroni and cheese.
I don’t know anybody who, during these dreary winter months, couldn’t use some encouragement in the whole physical fitness realm. I certainly do. So check out her blog if you know what’s good for you. You won’t regret it. And who knows, you may be up for running a marathon in a few months. Or at the very least up for running down the street a few blocks or so.

Experts agree that shoveling tons upon tons of snow is a great way work both the abdominal muscles as well as the lower back muscles. That’s the way we stay moving during the winter months here in Ohio.

So true. I just got done using my treadmill that I bought in October. I think this makes occasion #7 of it getting walked on. Here’s to new beginnings!
